The market of second hand fashion is on the rise, specially when it comes to high quality fashion from famous brands. You can find pieces in great condition for a fraction of the original price in many different online stores, but they're not that easy to find. Circulaire aims to change that.
Young people who are aware of the impact of fast fashion, and at the same time want to find original pieces to elevate their personal style. Gen Z are adopting second hand fashion faster than any other age group.
We started off with market research. In addition we gathered qualitative data by interviewing 5 companies in the second hand market, and 5 users who shop second hand fashion regularly. Our top insights were:
Circulaire exists to help users find the piece they’re looking for, by looking in one single place instead of browsing multiple sites & shops.
We also help second hand stores reach a wider audience and find a buyer for each piece.
To know more about how users find the perfect piece, we asked them to sort different criteria by the most important to the least important one. We put together the results from 6 users, and got this result.
We tested our prototype, and iterated on the feedback. Our top insights from the tests were
A clean and simple UI with nice images and the most common ways to navigate. This is an MVP that we’ll continue to improve.
I grew up on the back of a horse, and competed in showjumping for many years. It brought me abroad and lightened my curiosity for the world at large.
Today, I’ve brought that curiosity and passion for what I do into my design career. I love solving problems with delightful design, and push myself to get better all the time.
When I'm not designing stuff, I love to go on surf trips or spend time in nature. Moving my body sparks my creativity, and keeps me happy.
Wanna grab a cup of coffee and discuss ideas? Or stay connected on the interwebs and share inspiration and opportunities?
I'd love to hear from you.
